( 01 Jan ) DAY 1. ARRIVAL MANDALAY

Welcome by our driver upon arrival at Mandalay International Airport. Sightseeing begins MAHAMUNI PAGODA with its spectacular Buddha image covered with thick layers of gold leaves Then, Dine at local restaurant and overnight in Mandalay.

( 02 Jan )DAY 2. MANDALAY – SAGAING – AVA – AMARAPURA

After breakfast at hotel, drive to Amayapuya, visit MAHAGANDAYON, a famous Buddhist monastery,  where more than a thousand monks live and study Buddhism. And then proceed to Sagaing Hill. The Sagaing Hills are dotted with pagodas and there are over 500 monasteries, a retreat for some 6000 monks and nuns. Soon U Ponya Shin Pagoda, KaungHmudaw Pagoda( a copy of the Mahaceti Pagoda in Sri Lanka), and Ywahtaung (home of the silversmiths’ guilds) are places worth visiting. Proceed to Ava ( Inwwa), Visit Bagaya Monastery, Mai Nu Oak Kyaung or the Brick Monastery. Go back to the 200-year-old U BEIN teak bridge, built in 1782 at the time when Amarapura was the Royal Capital. Overnight in Mandalay.

( 03 Jan )DAY 3. MANDALAY – MINGUN (BY BOAT) – BAGAN  

Breakfast at hotel, you will discover the charms of old Burma as you take a journey through two of Myanmar’s ancient capitals. Drive to Kywezon jetty to watch the busy riverside activity and take a local riverboat to the ancient capital of Mingun (appr. 1 hour per way). Visit the Settawya Pagoda, with a footprint of the Buddha, walk to the huge Mingun Bell– the world’s largest ringing bell exists (It weighs 55555 viss), the nearby unfinished Mingun Pahtodawgyi– one of the famous buildings in the world., Myatheindan (Hsinbyume) Pagoda, built by King Bagyidaw in 1816, three years before he succeeded Bodawpaya as king, the pagoda was constructed in memory of his senior wife the Hsinbyume princess., a reproduction of the mythological Mt. Meru. Proceed to Bagan. It will take about 4 hours. Check in hotel and overnight in Bagan.

( 04 Jan )DAY 4. BAGAN SIGTHSEEING

After breakfast at hotel, Visit Nyaung U Market, ShwezigonPagoda(early 11 Century,AD), Ananda Temple (11 Century AD), Thatbyinnu Temple (mid-12Century, AD), Palace site of the First Myanmar Empire, Bupaya on the bank of the majestic Ayeyarwaddy river, enjoy the beautiful sunset. Stay overnight at hotel in Bagan.

( 05 Jan )DAY 5. BAGAN SIGTHSEEING

After breakfast, visit Gadawpalin Temple ( 13 CenturyAD.), Dhammayangyi Temple (1167-70), Manuha Templebuilt by the Prisoner King of Thaton, MingalaZedi stone scripture, Sinbyushin Complex – where the Buddhist Teachings were initiated and Lawka Nanda Pagoda on the bank of Ayeyarwaddy river, enjoy the sunset beauty at Damayangyi Temple. Stay overnight at hotel in Bagan.

( 06 Jan )DAY 6. BAGAN – MT.POPA – INLE ( BY CAR )

Breakfast at hotel, drive to Mount Popa, an extinct volcano. Rising out of the shimmering heat, Mt. Popa is home to Myanmar’s most powerful “nats”. Visit the Nat Museum with its life-sized statues of the 37 Nat Gods. Walk up the steps to the Stupas and shrines that top the hill above the museum, seeing many pilgrims along the way. The way by the roadside can see the locals climbing up the palm tree and making jiggery. Proceed to Inle and overnight in Inle.

( 07 Jan )DAY 7. INLE – INDINE BOAT SIGHTSEEING

Breakfast at hotel, visit NgaHpeChaung Monastery, which houses dozens of Shan Buddha Images, but is more famous for its unique ‘jumping cats’ that jump through hoops in the air! Continue to PhaungDawOo Pagoda, the lake’s main sanctuary, which contains five sacred Buddha images covered in gold leaf. Explore the local crafts of Inle Lake with a stop at the weaving village of Innpawkhoneand a cheroot factory, where the typical Burmese cigars are made by hand. Take a boat trip to Indein village located at the south western bank of the Inlay Lake, popular for its ruined clusters of Pagodas dated back to the 16 centuries. Meeting with local people and study the traditions and culture of these people. Overnight in Inle.

( 08 Jan )DAY 8. INLE – NGAPALI BEACH ( BY FLIGHT )

 After breakfast at hotel, transfer to domestic airport for flight to Thandwe ( Ngapali Beach ). Check in hotel and overnight in Ngapali Beach.

( 11 Jan )DAY 11. NGAPALI BEACH – YANGON ( BY FLIGHT ) – BAGO

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to domestic airport for flight to Yangon. proceed to Bago. Visit the reclining ShweThaLyaung Buddha Images, built in 994 AD by King Mingadippa, 55 meters long and 16 meters high, another biggest reclining Buddha image in Myanmar built during 9th Century.  “Kanbawzathardi Palace” the famous palace of the Emperor of the Second Myanmar Kingdom (1551-1581 A.D). Proceed to Shwemawdaw Pagoda, originally built by the Mons to a height to 23 meters in the 8th century and was rebuilt higher several times until it finally reached its present 114 meter stature in 1954. Go back to Yangon and overnight in Yangon.

( 12 Jan )DAY 12. YANGON SIGHTSEEING – DEPARTURE

Breakfast at hotel, Sightseeing to Chaukhtatgyi huge reclining Buddha with eyes look natural and Ngaehtatgyi Pagoda. Visit to Botataung Pagoda and sightseeing to the city center including City Hall, MahaBandoola Park, Independence Monument and Sule Pagoda. Shopping at Bogyoke Market (Scott) Market with hundreds of food, clothes, handicrafts and gems. Evening tour begins with the most magnificent and spectacular Shwedagon Pagoda before the sun set and enjoy the beauty of Stupa while it changes the shining of gold in different tones according to the radiant of the setting sun. Then, transfer to International airport for departure “HOME SWEET HOME”.
